WHO IS BEHIND IPS

Dr. Peter Wysocki
My name is Peter Wysocki. I am the Founder and President of the International Pilonidal Society. As a surgeon (Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons) I see many patients with pilonidal disease. There is misunderstanding about pilonidal disease and its treatment. Slowly, our blog will explore the issues. The International Pilonidal Society web site, this blog and the Pilonidal Sinus Journal represent ways in which we can pool our experiences and resources to improve the outcomes of people with pilonidal disease. So please, submit your feedback and comments! We are on Facebook. Additional information can be found at: http://www.pilonidal.org/ So stay tuned!

International Pilonidal Society

The Australian Pilonidal Sinus Society started in 2013 to educate patients about pilonidal disease (sometimes called ingrown hair between the buttocks) and keep surgeons informed of the latest news and developments in this field. After a successful inaugural meeting in Berlin, a need for an international society became apparent. So here we are: International Pilonidal Society.
